Rise Physical Therapy is a 23-provider clinic with 4 locations in northwest Arkansas. As the practice grew, so did its operational challenges, especially with its previous EMR.
“What was my biggest challenge with my prior EMR? Well, there were a lot,” co-founder Tyler Green said. “There was a massive system failure on their end, and there was a lack of communication, lack of customer support, and just a lot of frustrations,” Tyler explained.
After years of grappling with an unreliable EMR, Rise Physical Therapy started shopping around for a new system. “And we’ve just had the complete opposite experience since we switched to Prompt,” he said.
Like many growing practices, Rise Physical Therapy needed more than just a basic EMR. They needed visibility into key performance metrics, flexible documentation tools, and responsive customer support. But their previous EMR delivered none of it.
“There were times where the reporting was not accurate or couldn’t get the numbers you wanted. That was challenging,” Tyler said. “We had been told for years that the system would be updated and just never saw that be the case.”
Despite the common concerns around switching EMRs, Rise Physical Therapy found the transition to Prompt seamless.
“Prompt was there to help us,” Tyler said. “You’re assigned a team member that helps guide you through that process. There’s just great communication and quick responses from a great team where you feel like you're part of it.”
Rise Physical Therapy uses the Prediction Health integration, and the AI tools have made a huge difference for the therapists in their practice. “The AI features like the auto-note and dictation have been a game-changer for our team to improve their efficiency with the text and goal templates.
Overall, their practices’ compliance has gotten better as they are able to use AI to help with coding and including relevant information in their notes. And, perhaps more importantly, their team is happier. “The people who used our prior EMR love Prompt,” Tyler said. “They’re documenting quicker, they’re having less burnout.”
One of the most impactful aspects of Prompt for Rise Physical Therapy has been the reporting and analytics capabilities.
“I’m more the operational side, and every day someone asks if I can find a number or a report,” Tyler said. “Sometimes I don’t know if I can or not, but then I look into it and you can. And if I can’t figure it out, I can email support and they’ll have a solution.”
With Prompt, the team can now:
“Just being able to have better ideas of how certain PTs are billing or using codes makes it really easy to implement best practices within your team,” Tyler said.
Between happier and more productive therapists, better visibility into their analytics, and the ability to make data-driven decisions, Tyler estimates that Prompt has helped them achieve at least a $10 increase in revenue per visit.
“If you multiply that by hundreds or thousands of visits, depending on the size of your practice, Prompt more than pays for itself,” Tyler said.
Switching EMRs can feel like a massive undertaking. But for Rise Physical Therapy, it turned out to be one of the best decisions they’ve made.
“Whenever we left our old EMR, the owner said, ‘This is probably the worst decision you’ll ever make.’ But that was completely false. Switching to Prompt has been one of the best things we’ve ever done for our practice.”
